Couldn’t have had a better guide than Michael. His knowledge of Austria and Hallstatt was amazing. A great storyteller, Michael regaled us with so many stories of the history of Hallstatt. We visited the salt mines and then took a tour of Hallstatt, walking through the original village instead of the main thoroughfare that most tourists use. Michael was engaging and took great care of us for the 8 hours that we spent together. My children - 2 teenagers and 1 child - enjoyed his company so much that they missed him the next day when we explored Salzburg on our own. This tour was definitely a 10/10!
