Salzburg’s Peaks & Kitzbühel Alps

Begin your adventure with a warm welcome at the Schloss Kammer hotel (or similar). Settle into your comfortable accommodation and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

Start your day with a breathtaking tour over the Kammereggalm, leading to the famous double top of the Schwalbenwand. Traverse through the Hofer Plattl forest, take a break at Hinterreit, and continue past the Chapel of Peace to the idyllic farming village of Maria Alm.

Follow the trails of pilgrims through meadows and across a beautiful moorland to the rugged mountain tops of the Steinerne Meer. Enjoy the high altitude routes leading to the sunny Steinalm, and descend to the striking hermitage. End your day with a walk into the historic town of Saalfelden.

From the Vorderkaser ravine, follow the gurgling streams to the heavenly situated Hochkaser hill pasture. Traverse from the steep tops of the Leogang and Lofer mountains to the Tyrolian side, passing through the Niederkaseralm and the Griesel valley. End your day in the beautiful valley of Pillersee, with the backdrop of the Lofer mountains.

Walk through lush meadows with a view of the Kitzbühel Alps into a deep valley. Follow a comfortable path under the cable cars of the Magnesitenbergwerk mine up to the Burgeralm. Enjoy a rustic stop and a delicious dessert before descending on a forest path to the town of Saalbach-Hinterglem.

Enjoy a leisurely day in the sport region. Take a comfortable circular walk at the end of the valley, passing the Forsthof alp, the Saal alp, and the Lindling alp. Cross the Baumzipfelweg suspension bridge and enjoy a glass of buttermilk in an alpine hut, all while taking in the panoramic view of the Glemmtal valley.

Experience one of the most beautiful high altitude routes of the Alps. At an altitude of approximately 2000m, enjoy marvelous views of the surrounding mountain tops as you make your way towards Schmittenhöhe. Take the cable car down into Zell am See and then catch the bus back to Maishofen.
