Take a break at the alpine pasture Hütteneckalm, boasting stunning views of the UNESCO heritage region 'Hallstatt Dachstein', and the unique Blaa-alp. Begin your day with a scenic walk along Lake Altaussee, with the imposing Loser mountain as your backdrop. Cross the Tressen saddle to reach the next lake, enjoying panoramic mountain views along the way. Your destination is the village of Gößl by Lake Grundlsee. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the mystical Lake Toplitzsee, rumored to hide hidden treasures, or take a row in a traditional wooden boat.

Today's route takes you along a fast-flowing mountain stream and through extensive alluvial areas out of the valley to Ödernalm, described by Heinrich Harrer as the nicest spot on the planet. After one last ascent over the Törl, you'll arrive at the charming Tauplitzalm, located on a high plateau.

Spend the day exploring Tauplitzalm, one of Europe's loveliest high plateaus. Embark on the 6 Lakes Walk, a route with stunning views and wonderfully located mountain lakes. You might also choose to hike to one of the many peaks in the Tote Gebirge mountain range, a unique experience. Keep an eye out for the area's diverse fauna and flora, from snow roses to gentian to alpine rose flowers, and perhaps even spot some native chamoises.

Day 6: From Tauplitzalm to Bad Goisern
Your journey today takes you past the Lake Steirersee to the secluded Lake Schwarzensee, nestled among high mountains. Descend through the forest and blooming narcissus fields to the village of Tauplitz. From there, you'll take a train back to Bad Goisern.
