Today, you'll cycle along the Salzach and the disused Ischler railway route to Eugendorf. From there, you'll continue across lush meadows to Thalgau and the foot of the Drachenwand, a majestic rock massif that stretches all the way to Lake Mondsee. The lakeside cycle path will lead you to the charming town of Mondsee, known for its stunning natural beauty and cultural significance.

Cycle along the shore of Lake Mondsee to Lake Attersee, the largest lake in Salzkammergut, known for its deep-green color and magnificent estates. Travel by boat or bike to Weyregg, then through Aurachtal to Gmunden, home to a famous palace and ceramic bells. End the day in the picturesque town of Traunkirchen, where you'll rest for the night.

Today's journey takes you along the edge of Lake Traunsee to the saline town of Ebensee. From there, you'll cycle along the river Traun to Bad Ischl, a town steeped in Imperial history. After crossing the health resort of Bad Goisern, you'll reach Lake Hallstatt. Cycle along the lake to the picturesque town of Hallstatt, often referred to as the 'loveliest lakeside town in the world', where you'll spend the night.

Retrace your steps back along the river Traun to Bad Ischl, where you'll have the chance to visit the famous Café Zauner and sample its sweet specialties. Re-energized, you'll continue your journey along Lake Wolfgang, soaking in the serene atmosphere before settling in for the night at your hotel in St. Wolfgang.

Spend the day exploring St. Wolfgang and its surroundings. Cycle along the bike path to St. Gilgen and on to the deep blue Fuschlsee. From there, you'll cycle to Lake Hintersee and through the Strubklamm gorge into the Wiestal valley. The ride through the Glasenbachklamm gorge is impressive and will bring you to the Salzachtal valley. Just before reaching Salzburg, a diversion to Schloss Hellbrunn is well worth it. Your destination is the festival and Mozart town of Salzburg with its many tourist attractions.
