Trekking over the Alps from Innsbruck to Sterzing

Welcome to Innsbruck, the heart of the Alps! Upon arrival, you will receive your tour package, marking the beginning of your exciting multi-day adventure.

Today, we leave Innsbruck behind and head to the charming village of Mutters. From there, we take a cable car up to the Muttereralm mountain pastures, where we embark on the Innsbrucker Almentour trail. This easy trail offers stunning views of the Alps. We end the day in Fulpmes, a popular winter sports resort.

Our journey continues with a hike to the Sonnstein restaurant, offering panoramic valley views. We then follow the pilgrimage trail to Maria Waldrast, the highest monastery in Europe. After a restful stop at a mountain cabin, we cross over to Trins, a quaint village nestled in a side valley.

Today is a day of relaxation in Trins. This peaceful village, located at an altitude of 1,233 meters, is the perfect place to unwind and recharge for the adventures ahead.

We set off on the Romediusweg pilgrimage trail, leading us to a high valley and a mountain pass. The trail offers picturesque views of mountain pastures, glacier-topped summits, and small mountain lakes. Our day ends in Obernberg, a tiny mountain village.

Today's journey takes us to the beautiful Lake Obernberg. From there, we ascend to the Sandjöchl mountain pass, marking the border with Italy. We then descend along a military road to Gossensass, with the Dolomites providing a stunning backdrop.

We start the day with a local bus ride to Innerpflersch. From there, we hike up to Ladurns, passing by cabins with breathtaking valley views. We then follow the high trail to the Rosskopf cable car station, which takes us down to Sterzing. This city, the first after the Alps, combines Alpine charm with a Mediterranean flair.
