If you're up for it, ski all the way to Gasthof Feuerstein at the valley's end. Don't worry about equipment; the rental fee is included for the day.

Today, strap on your snowshoes and explore the winter idyll of the Wipptal valley. Whether you choose to head towards the Trunahütte or the Blaserhütte, you'll discover untouched nature at its finest. Alternatively, you can explore the mountaineering village of Gschnitztal on one of the numerous winter hiking trails.

An organized transfer will take you to Maria Waldrast, the highest place of pilgrimage in the Alps. Here, you can choose between a high-altitude cross-country ski trail, a beautiful hike towards Gleinser Jöchl, a toboggan run down to Matrei, or a snowshoe tour back to Trins. If you're a skiing enthusiast, the Bergeralm ski arena in Steinach is at your disposal.
