From Sofia to Belgrade

Welcome to Sofia, the vibrant capital of Bulgaria! Upon your arrival at the airport, we'll transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we'll embark on a guided tour of Sofia, exploring its iconic landmarks including the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the Russian Church, and the Mosque. You'll also have some free time to explore the city at your own pace.

We'll start the day with a visit to the serene Bachkovo Monastery, the second most important monastery in Bulgaria. From there, we'll continue to Plovdiv, one of the oldest cities in Europe, where we'll enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on a sightseeing tour. We'll explore the ancient chemist's, the Armenian House, and the impressive Roman Amphitheatre.

Today, we'll journey through the picturesque Balkans mountain range and the valley of the Roses to Kazanlak, where we'll visit the replica of the Thracian Tomb. We'll then stop at the Russian church of Shipka before visiting the charming village of Etara. After lunch, we'll travel to Arbanassi, an ancient trading city, and visit the Church of the Nativity. Our final destination for the day is Veliko Tarnovo, the former capital of Bulgaria.

We'll start the day with a visit to the Basarbovski Monastery, a unique place of pilgrimage carved out of the rock. We'll then cross the border into Romania and arrive in Bucharest around lunchtime. After a delicious meal, we'll embark on a sightseeing tour of the city, exploring its ancient quarter and the colossal Parliament Palace.

Today, we'll journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Transylvania, stopping at Sinaia to stroll through the gardens of the Peles and Pelisor Castles. We'll then visit the 14th-century Bran fortress, famously known as Dracula's Castle. After lunch, we'll continue to Sighisoara, a beautiful walled medieval city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, we'll enjoy a special dinner at the restaurant of Count Dracula.

We'll start the day with a visit to one of Transylvania's numerous fortified churches in Biertan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll then continue to Sibiu, a bustling economic and cultural center, where we'll have some time for a stroll and lunch. In the afternoon, we'll visit the impressive Castle of Hunedoara before heading to Timisoara, where we'll have some time to explore its elegant central squares.

Today, we'll set off for Serbia, crossing the border and arriving in Belgrade, the country's bustling capital. We'll embark on a city tour, exploring its busy center, parliament, and the Kalemegdan Fortress. We'll also visit the Museum of Yugoslavia, home to Tito's Mausoleum. You'll have some free time in the afternoon to explore the city at your own pace.
