They are located in the cities we visit, most of them not in the city center but all of them with easy access to public transportation nearby. Our accommodation is not based on luxury hotels. Please keep in mind that standards, bed sizes and room dimensions can vary between hotels of the same class in different locations. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom and TV. Some of them also offer a mini-bar, safe box, and hair dryer. Many hotels, mainly in North Europe, do not have air conditioning or local legislation establishes limited dates of use.

Welcome to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria! Upon your arrival at the airport, we will transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we will embark on a city tour, visiting the iconic Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the Russian Church. You will also get to see the city's squares and avenues, showcasing Stalinist architecture. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your leisure.

We will depart Sofia in the morning and head to the serene Bachkovo Monastery, the second most important monastery in Bulgaria. After soaking in the peace of this sacred place, we will continue to Plovdiv, one of the oldest cities in Europe. Here, we will have lunch before embarking on a sightseeing tour, including visits to the Roman Amphitheatre, the ancient chemist's, and the Armenian House.

Today, we will journey through the beautiful Balkans mountain range, stopping at the UNESCO Heritage site of Kazanlak. We will also visit the charming village of Etara and the ancient trading city of Arbanassi, where we will explore the Church of the Nativity. Our day will end in Veliko Tarnovo, the former capital of Bulgaria, known for its picturesque medieval center.

We will leave Bulgaria behind and travel to Romania. On our way, we will visit the Basarbovski Monastery, a unique place of pilgrimage carved out of the rock. After crossing the border and the river Danube, we will arrive in Bucharest around lunchtime. After lunch, we will take a sightseeing tour of the city, including a visit to the giant Parliament Palace.
