Welcome to Bulgaria! Upon your arrival at either Varna or Bourgas airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel. After settling in, meet your professional guide who will accompany you throughout your journey. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city at your own pace. You can stroll through the bustling promenades, visit interesting museums, or simply relax on the beautiful beaches. Overnight stay will be in Varna or Bourgas.
Day 2 – Day 2: Varna/Bourgas to Plovdiv via Nessebar and Kazanlak

After a hearty breakfast, we'll set off for an exciting day ahead. Our first stop will be the 'Pearl of the Black Sea Coast', the Old town of Nessebar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you'll explore the ancient streets and numerous 13th-century churches. Next, we'll head to the town of Kazanlak, where you'll visit the UNESCO-designated Thracian Tomb. You'll also get a chance to witness the unique rose production process at a Rose-oil distillery in a nearby village. The day ends with an overnight stay in Plovdiv.

Start your day with a delightful breakfast before exploring the city of Plovdiv. Wander through the maze-like alleys of the Old town and visit the Ethnographic museum and the Roman Amphitheater. After a delicious lunch, we'll head to the mountain resort of Bansko. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Youndola pass and Avramovo, the highest train station on the Balkan Peninsula. Upon arrival in Bansko, take a leisurely walk around the old town and learn about its unique architecture. The evening is yours to explore the town and find a local tavern for dinner. Overnight stay will be in Bansko.

After breakfast, we'll drive to the village of Dobarsko to visit the historical Church of St. Theodor Tiron and St. Theodor Stratilat. Next, we'll visit the UNESCO-designated Rila Monastery, nestled deep in the mountains. Admire its stunning architecture and frescoes before we continue our journey to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Overnight stay will be in Sofia.

Start your day with a delightful breakfast before embarking on a walking tour of Sofia. Visit the magnificent St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the St. George Rotonda, the Russian Church St. Nikolay, and the National Theatre Ivan Vazov. After lunch, visit the UNESCO-designated Boyana Church, renowned for its early Renaissance art. You'll also have the option to visit the National History Museum. In the evening, you can choose to join a traditional Bulgarian dinner with folklore and Nestinari dances. Overnight stay will be in Sofia.

After breakfast, we'll drive through the Balkan Mountain to reach Etara, an open-air museum showcasing traditional crafts. From there, we'll continue to Veliko Tarnovo, the medieval capital of Bulgaria. Explore the old town and the magnificent fortress Tzarevetz. In the evening, we'll transfer to the nearby village of Arbanassi for dinner in a typical 'mehana' restaurant. Overnight stay will be in Veliko Tarnovo.
