BIKES

During the trip you will be provided with a high quality e-bike (pedelec), most of which are fitted with Bosch motors with extra battery range. They are characterized by their relatively light weight and great components. Some are equipped with other motor systems. You will be able to climb almost any hill with ease.

Standard components of the e-bikes, in varying frame sizes, include, 28 inch hollow chamber rims with puncture-proof touring tires, high-quality derailleur gears and break systems, a carrier and a sturdy bike stand, touring saddle as well as mudguards and a pannier rack. With our e-bikes you will conquer the hills with a smile, they are a true declaration of independence for all who wish to cycle and seek the support of a little push. We offer a trapeze (low bar) frame for all guests up to 179 cm, and a diamond frame for people 180 cm+.

ROAD & GRAVEL BIKES

The cyclocross and gravel bikes can be ridden over a variety of terrain - the run perfectly on smooth asphalt surfaces as well as on gravel trails. The frames are extremely robust while still light. The relatively wide tyres provide good traction when cycling on loose surfaces, allowing for adventurous rides without compromise.

HANDLEBAR BAGS

Handlebar bags are a very useful accessory because they allow easy and direct access to important items such as camera or raingear. Handlebar bags are available from many suppliers in different sizes and with various attachment systems. The well-tried Klick-Fix principle is the most common. A good handlebar bag should definitely be water-proof and have a solid, easy to use attachment mechanism. It should never be too large since heavy handlebar bags influence the steering behaviour of the bike. A transparent map compartment at the top is very useful. Should you bring a handlebar bag with you on your trip, please keep in mind that our bicycles do not have a Klick-Fix attachment, so you need to bring the necessary adapters.

BRINGING YOUR OWN BIKE

Private e-bikes are not permitted on board. This decision has been made due to insurance regulations. We offer you high quality, fully serviced rental bikes perfectly suited to your tour.

PANNIERS

For the duration of the tour we supply you with a waterproof pannier by Ortlieb, a practical way of carrying drinks, bathing gear, camera etc. The use of the panniers is free of charge. To ensure that bike panniers remain water proof they have to be closed tight. Although panniers are manufactured from waterproof material we cannot be held liable for any damage that might be caused to any personal belongings like mobile phones, cameras etc.

BIKE INSURANCE

our partner offers a bicycle insurance against theft and damage for the rental bicycles (not insured: grossly negligent damages). e-bike: 20 euro/week hybrid bicycle: 10 euro/week If you would like to book an insurance for your rental bicycle please speak with your reservations consultant or travel agent.

Kindly take care of your rental bicycle/bike. Park it at safe places - not next to the sea to keep it away from salt water. Please keep in mind that you are responsible to compensate for any damage caused.

HELMET

On all bicycle tours it is mandatory to wear a helmet. In order to guarantee optimum protection we request that you bring your own well fitted helmet and - for your own safety - wear it on all bike tours. Bike helmets can be provided free of charge if reserved prior to arrival (limited amount) however we cannot guarantee their suitability. Please note that children up to age 16 must wear a helmet when cycling in compliance with Croatian laws.
