Embark on a five-day cycling adventure that takes you from the bustling city of Prague to the charming town of Karlstejn and back. This multi-day tour is a perfect blend of urban exploration and countryside adventure. You'll cycle along scenic rivers, visit historical sites like the Velka Amerika quarry and Karlstejn Castle, and explore picturesque villages and towns. Each day brings a new destination and a new adventure. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a beginner, this tour offers a unique and unforgettable way to explore the Czech Republic.

24 or 27 speed hybrid bike rental with pannier, handlebar bag, lock, helmet (on request) and one repair kit per room (e-bikes are available (without handlebar bag) on request - supplement applies)

You will receive your rental bike on the first day of the tour. Please take care of your bike. You are responsible for the security of the bike, if it is stolen or damaged you will be expected to pay for a replacement (currently: 8,000 CZK per bike). If your insurance does not cover this event, you will have to pay the costs yourself – please note that it is highly unusual for theft or damage to occur when bikes are well looked after and securely locked. For self guided tours a credit card guarantee is required on day one.
Minimum 24 speed hybrid bike with panniers, handlebar bag, lock and one repair kit per room. Note e-bikes are not fitted with handlebar bags
Rental helmets are available and are subject to availability. They are also available for purchase (payable locally - EUR32). Helmets are compulsory for children under 18 years of age under Czech law, and for all guided tours.
Your rental bike is only available for the official cycle program and is not available for additional nights booked pre and post tour.
One person from your party should be able to:
- follow the map or the GPS
- change a flat tire – we provide repair kit (spare tube, tire levers, pump, multi wrench)

Own SPD pedals, saddle – you are welcome to bring your own pedals and/or saddle. Please bring also your own tools to make sure you can dismount it at the end of the tour.

Accommodation will be in 3 star hotels on a twinshare basis with ensuite facilities. Three of the nights will be based in the same hotel in Karlstejn. There is the option to upgrade to 4 star hotels. A supplement applies.

Day 1 – Day 1: Prague to Karlstejn

Your adventure begins in the vibrant city of Prague. After a brief orientation and bike fitting, we'll embark on a leisurely ride along the scenic Vltava and Berounka rivers. Our destination for the day is the charming town of Karlstejn, where you'll check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax and explore.

Day two takes us through the romantic countryside along the Berounka River. We'll visit the historical Velka Amerika quarry and the quaint village of Sv. Jan pod Skalou. After a day of exploration, we'll return to Karlstejn, where we recommend a tour of the magnificent Karlstejn Castle.

On day three, we'll cycle to the medieval town of Beroun, passing through the picturesque villages of Zadni Treban and Liten. An optional visit to the Koneprusy Caves is highly recommended. After lunch, enjoy sightseeing in Beroun before we cycle back to Karlstejn along the beautiful Berounka River.

On the final day of cycling, we'll return to Prague along a different trail, following the Berounka and Vltava Rivers. Once in Prague, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the evening exploring this magnificent city at your leisure.
