Private Tour of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento

Our guide, Rossana was wonderful and we really loved our private tour which felt like a leisurely walk amongst the temples. She communicated fluently in English and answered all of our numerous questions on the temples, Sicily history and culture.

Irene was fabulous, very friendly and informative. We were late because we went to the lower parking lot (at the book store) and bought a ticket and then took taxi up to the Juno temple to Irene. But it works out as she kindly called and then waited for us and then we moved thru the line with her as priority attendant. We enjoyed her personal stories and history of her own home town. At the end we exited the bottom of the hill and gate 5 which was right back where we parked. Can you do this your yourself -- yes -- but you'll not learn key insights.

A very enjoyable tour of the Valley of the Temples. Our guide Enza was very knowledgeable about the site and its history, kept our entire family interested throughout, and knew all the shady spots to protect us from the August Heat. A wonderful experience all around.

Our guide, Enza, was wonderful. My concern is that our private tour did not include actual tickets to enter the site. While the information sent states the cost of the tickets not included, it is not stated that our guide would not have them to get us inside. She waited for us inside, while we were left outside to wait in the regular line. We eventually communicated and she found us and navigated the crowd. I’ve never paid a premium for a private tour where a guide didn’t prearrange entry to avoid losing time. She explained that a large group tour would have prearranged tickets. How is it correct that a significantly more expensive private tour would not include this service? I’m the end the experience was great; it is unfortunate it began with this frustration.
