It was fun but you need waterproof clothes if is raining as we did the walking tour and it was raining, so we would highly recommend to everyone to put raining coats, MANDATORY

This was an incredible day!!! The boat ride through the gap was exhilarating. We loved Dermott our long time Killarney resident and captain. He gave us tremendous insight into this gem of a national park. After the boat ride we purchased a delicious rustic lunch of soup and sandwiches then headed back on a jaunty. The time with Con and the horse will never be forgotten. Absolutely majestic ride around the mountains to get back to the starting point. Rain and wind made it even more memorable because we were dressed for it and ready!

7 mile hike was great, good accommodation for lunch. Boat ride was wavy due to weather but guide handled well with plenty of laughter

Thank you Rita for posing this up on trip advisor delighted that you had a great day on the Gap of Dunloe with plenty of laughter unfortunately the weather did not behave itself.

Amazing views! We walked the trail (instead of doing the cart ride) which was tiring but doable and worth it so you can stop and enjoy every minute. Average walking pace up hill was about 27 minutes but we made up for it downhill at 22 minutes. Started at 10:30 when the coach dropped us off and was able to make the last boat out. Have to get back by 2pm to get the last boats or the driver said you will be stranded. The boat ride is well worth the price of admission, fantastic experience and would definitely recommend.

We started at Ross Castle with 5 other couples in a small open boat. This was fun and adventuresome. It was a little cold with a storm looming. We went around a lake, under a bridge and up a river. We got to a dock and thought we were done and were asked to do a small hike. No one in the group had a clue what we were doing. They couldn’t get the boat up the river with all of us in it so we did a hike to meet back up. We were 1/2 way!😂 The boat ride was 1 1/2 hours.
We got to the gap and my wife and I were going to walk the whole way. Mike talked us into riding the jaunting cart 1/2 way. So glad we did. The storm hit and it would have been miserable. I’m glad we didn’t bike it is a pretty steep hill up and down. Mike and his horse Crazy Tom were incredible, we laughed and joked the whole way. We didn’t stop 1/2 way but walked last 15 minutes.
We ate a good lunch at Kate’s. We LOVED all we learned from Mike. Had a great time. Just wished we would have known more what to expect.
The people who took the bus first were wet and cold and had to take the boat back. We were glad we did the boat first. Just dress accordingly and enjoy whatever comes your way

Spectacular views and we chose the walking 11 km option but it was good to know there were the jaunting carts option for those who chose not to walk. The destination was Lord Brandon's cottage after walking through the Gap of Dunloe. Fully recommend. Thank you Dermott for driving our boat back to Ross Castle. Cheers

The hike through gap had breathtaking sites and views. The lunch after the hike you will need cash for and it is good. The boat ride through the three lakes was fabulous and a unique experience. Rory was our guide and he shared so much interesting information about the history and nature of the lakes and Killarney. The views from the lake are really special. It was definitely the best tour we did as a family during our week long trip to Ireland. I highly recommend it.

A special place, a must do … took my US friends and this was defo a highlight of our trip to Ireland… I’d recommend the jaunty cart ride , and whilst the views are impressive, the characters riding them are even more so …
