Pompeii, Amalfi Coast and Positano Day Trip from Rome

Both Natascia, the tour guide, and Roman, the bus driver, were amazing. I would highly rate this exceptional experience.

Wonderful experience! It was the perfect way to see the Amalfi coast and Pompei! Viviana was a wonderful tour leader; so knowledgeable and friendly and Andrea was a great driver! Enzo and Giorgio, the guides of Pompei were outstanding. Perfect tour when you’re trying to fit in as much as possible, I’d highly recommend!

Claire, our guide and Luca, the bus driver made the day so special. You don’t need to worry about a thing from the moment you meet these guys and the information they give really makes a difference in the experience. Positano and Pompei are essential places to visit, I just wished we could had stayed a bit more in the historic Roman center, but I understand that we would need to have a 30h day.

If don’t have much time in Italy or just don’t want to plan a trip outside Rome by yourself, this one is for you.

I really enjoyed the day. Danilo drove the comfortable coach with expertise and Sarah provided great commentary with her beautiful soothing voice! Fab tour around Pompeii, which was very interesting. Only had an hour or so in Positino. The weather wasn’t sunny so we just walked around. If you want longer in Positino then consider another tour. The tour started at 7.30am and we were back in Rome by 8pm. That included a rest stop there and back. A longish drive, a lot of time in a coach but this suited us. It was very wet in Rome but we avoided all the rain!

Peter our guide was outstanding! Very knowledgeable and friendly. He did a great job keeping our large group on track! Francesco our driver was very pleasant and a great driver! How lucky you are t have both of them!

The bus ride is a little long due to the low speed limit but he was great driving in tight spaces. Claire was helpful in explaining details, but sometimes spoke too fast, and she was generous with the pastries. Pompeii history was informative, and Positano is beautiful.

The attention to all historical sites was amazing along with great and clear information for departure times at every location we stopped on. The sites were amazing once we got to the Amalfi Coast. I highly recommend this to any one and City Wonders was amazing. The only downside of going on a Sunday means that many shops in Positano were closed to really see much but the view was still amazing.

We had an incredible time! The bus was very comfortable, making the journey enjoyable. Visiting Pompeii was absolutely fascinating—the guides were incredibly knowledgeable, providing deep insights into the history of the site. Although it was quite busy, we still managed to see all the major highlights.

Next, we headed to the Amalfi Coast, which was even more breathtakingly beautiful. We had free time to explore, stroll through the charming streets, and relax on the beach—an experience I will never forget.

On the way back, our tour guide shared valuable tips and tricks for navigating the city, which were incredibly helpful. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

Great tour despite the long day. Comfortable coach journey, driven by the capable Danilo on the very steep roads on the Amalfi Coast. Really enjoyed Sarah’s commentary on the journey. Pompeii was fascinating. Had about an hour or so in Positano, which was fine. Not a huge place l.

Amazing. So worthwhile. Well paced and organised. Impossible to do in public transport so take a chance and do it. You won’t regret it.
