Normandy WWII Private Half-day Sidecar Tour From Bayeux

Such an awesome day we didn’t want it to end. The wonderful French Thiery on his beloved motorbike with sidecar picked us up at our accommodation. We ensured we were dressed for winter with our long John’s, scarves and gloves and off we zoomed down the beautiful French country lanes via a coffee stop in a fishing village to the DDay beaches. We got an excellent overview of the allied landing sites and the backup need for this massive operation to succeed. We could not recommend this trip highly enough. We both absolutely love it.

This review is very overdue. I was in France this summer and this tour jumped out at me as one of the most unique opportunities one could have. The guys were so great and informative, and brought us to some very powerful landmarks. Coincidentally, we were there right after the 80th year anniversary. We learned so much more from this tour than we probably ever did in school in the US. If it was possible, I would encourage all Americans to come and take this tour for the knowledge, the unique enjoyment, and the eye-opening reality to what happened on that day at Omaha Beach.

This is a must do tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with Thierry along the Normandy coast last week. It was a wonderful way to experience the sights and an insightful way to hear the stories of the occupation and Allied Forces beach landings. We spent 10 days on holiday and this was the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend this tour, and Thierry, to anyone who is considering a beach tour while in Normandy. Thierry was super cool and funny - made the excursion a great experience. The dichotomy between riding the country roads (exhilarating) and the Omaha beach and cemetery (sobering) was very striking.

What a wonderful experience!!!! Manuel was the best sidecar driver- while we zoomed down the country roads in Normandy with the wind blowing in our hair, we felt completely safe with Manuel at the wheel. So much better than a tour bus. At the sites we visited, he patiently and expertly answered all of our questions and had the knowledge to really help us recreate the D-day scenes in our minds. I cannot recommend this tour enough. I would go again tomorrow!!!

We had the bet time going to Normandy. We took the train out from Paris with our two kids and they loved it! We enjoyed riding on the bikes and learning about Dday. Manuel and Terry were so knowledgeable and great with the kids! Do not wait just do it!

Manuel impressed us from our very first email exchange. He accommodated our limited date availability and met us promptly at the appointed time & place. The tour was safe, comfortable, and comprehensive. He shared his extensive WWII knowledge and even managed to provide new info to the well read historian guest :). Highly recommend this adventure!!

Wonderful! Highly recommend. Very unique experience and perfect to avoid the larger bus type tours. Just driving around the countryside in the sidecar is an experience itself! Super fun too!
