Bucharest has such a rich history, and its Jewish Heritage and Holocaust Memorial sites are deeply impactful. The Holocaust Memorial in Bucharest, for example, is a poignant reminder of the tragic history of Romanian Jews during World War II.

I must say this tour was an Incredibly moving experience. Visiting the synagogues gave us a glimpse into the vibrant Jewish community that once thrived in Bucharest, while the cemetery carried its own somber significance.

Our tour guide, Marius, was an excellent guide who truly cared about conveying the history with respect and depth. He made all the difference, especially for a topic as profound as Jewish heritage and the Holocaust. Thank you Marius and we hope to see you again!

The cemetery and the Holocaust memorial were bookends to the tragic history of Jews in Romania. Mauris was well informed and very thoughtful and professional. I learned a lot about the Jewish history as well as some general Romanian history. Well worth taking.

Marius was so knowledgeable about Jewish history as well as Romanian history and he answered all of our questions. It was really convenient to have a private tour - he is a great driver. He even took us to an outdoor market in Berceni. He gave us pointers about where to visit, where we can exchange money, etc. I would give him 6 stars if I could!!

The old Jewish cemetery was immense, and also sad because it is unkempt, with overgrown shrubbery that covers much of the site. There is no one to maintain it.

Marius was the best! He customized our tour to include exactly what we wanted to see. We visited synagogues, museums, memorials, and walked the Jewish quarter. The commentary was interesting, informative, and eye-opening. Marius even took us to the cemetery at the edge of the city where victims of the pogrom of 1941 are buried. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Bucharest. The heritage of Jews in Romania is something most of us are sadly unaware of and need to know about.

We had a wonderful day with Marius, our guide for the Bucharest Jewish Heritage Tour. We visited the major Jewish sites still existing in Bucharest beginning with one of three cemeteries. It was terribly overgrown but held centuries of history and told its own story of a once 1,000,000 strong community now with few remaining. Synagogues, the Jewish Museum, and the Holocaust Memorial were among other sites included in the tour. We even had lunch at the only kosher restaurant in Bucharest! Marius is terrific with excellent English skills, a comfortable car, and is highly engaging. We highly recommend this tour!
