We finished our Viking cruise in Budapest and had a day to kill and decided to do this awesome Food Tour. We had checked in to the IBIS Airport hotel as we had an early flight the next day, so staying near the airport was helpful. Most food tours won’t pick you up at hotels but Ferenc sent a vehicle for the 6 of us, he also arranged for return transportation for a reasonable price. All of the 4 locations he selected had awesome food and drinks and we were stuffed after 2 main course items and 2 wonderful deserts. Ferenc is a wonderful host and always was asking you if you wanted more food or drink.

Laslo was great. Walking tour of castle district and Jewish district. Langós, sausage, strudel, and chimney cake. Street food … but a step up. Wonderful time.

We booked a Private Budapest Street Food Tour. Our guide, Ferenc Samu ,arrived at our hotel exactly on time. We had shared ahead of time that I can't walk very far. He took us by taxi to a part of the city that had the old city charm and several places to dine. The places that he selected were within an easy walking distance.. The best part was the fried flatbread. Very interesting tour with lots of good food. Ferenc shared some of the history of the city. He was also kind enough to assist us with shopping for local paprika.

Ferenc’s knowledge of Budapest along with his love of Hungarian food was an amazing combination. We went to many local hidden gems that we may not have found otherwise, which helped with the authentic experience. Be prepared to eat ALOT!

We booked our experience and were looking forward to the tour, but were blown away by our guide Ferenc. We had an excellent time, with lovely food.
Ferenc was happy to tailor the tour so that we wouldn't duplicate foods with items we'd already tried on the tour, ensuring we got to try items that we otherwise wouldn't. His knowledge of the city was great and his style and friendliness second to none.
Would happily both recommend this tour, and return to Budapest Urban Walks for another tour if we're back in Budapest again
