are included in the tour price. Flights to Kuusamo are operated by Finnair through Helsinki. In Febuary there are direct flights from a few UK airport serviced by TUI and eg. Eurowings and Lufthansa have flights from a couple of German airports.

Welcome to Finland! Upon your arrival at Kuusamo airport, you will be transferred to Hossa National Park, approximately an hour away. Your home for the first three nights will be the secluded Jatkonsalmi cabin, nestled on the shores of Lake Jatkonjärvi, in the heart of the park.
Day 2 – Day 2: Snowshoeing Adventure to Lounatkoski Rapids

After breakfast and a brief introduction to snowshoeing, we embark on our first day trip to the Lounatkoski Rapids. Here, you'll discover remnants of the region's past, including a grain mill and timber-floating constructions. Enjoy a picnic by the rapids before snowshoeing back to the cabin across Jatkonvaara-hill. The day concludes with a relaxing sauna session and an optional ice-swimming experience.

Today, we delve into history with a visit to the Colour Rock, home to ancient rock paintings dating back 4000 years. After a short car transfer, we snowshoe to the site, where we'll enjoy a picnic lunch by the fire. We return to the cabin in the afternoon for another peaceful night in the wilderness.

We leave our basecamp today and venture towards the wilderness cabins of Huosiusjärvi and Iikoski. Our route takes us along a ridge between two frozen lakes and through enchanting forests. We'll stop at the Hossa Visitor Centre for lunch and a chance to pick up souvenirs before reaching our cabins in the afternoon.

Today's journey takes us through ridges and across frozen lakes, offering a chance to encounter local wildlife such as reindeer, elks, and hares. We'll enjoy a picnic lunch at a lean-to-shelter near a rapid before reaching the northern shore of Lake Iso-Valkeinen, where we'll spend the night.
Day 6 – Day 6: Return to Base Camp

Our final day of snowshoeing brings us back to our base camp. Here, we can unwind with a sauna session, another round of ice-swimming, and a farewell dinner to celebrate our shared adventure.
