Welcome to Villeneuve Les Avignon! Upon your arrival, check into the Residence les Cedres (or similar) where our host, Christophe, will warmly welcome you. Most travelers reach Avignon via TGV from Paris or London, but direct flights to Avignon and Nimes are also available. Rest and relax as you prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

Kickstart your adventure with a leisurely cycle along the River Rhone towards Aramon. From there, we continue our journey to St Remy de Provence. Along the way, we'll explore the ancient Roman town of Glanum, a fascinating archaeological site dating back to 27 BC. We'll also pass by the asylum where the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh once stayed. Upon reaching St Remy, check into the Castelet des Alpilles (or similar) and enjoy a delightful dinner in the heart of the town.

Today, we set off towards the Alpilles, cycling through breathtaking scenery to reach Les Baux de Provence, a fascinating ruined fortress with a rich history. We'll also visit an olive farm at Maussane Domaine Plaines Marguerite and enjoy a wine-tasting session at Domaine de la Vallongue. Our day ends in Cavaillon, where we'll stay at the Hotel de Parc (or similar) located in the charming old quarter of the town.

Leaving Cavaillon, we cycle into the Luberon, visiting the beautiful village of Gordes. We then climb to the iconic Abbey de Senanque, a stunning Cistercian abbey surrounded by a sea of lavender. After a day of exploration, we descend into Carpentras and stay just outside in Monteux, enjoying stunning views of Mont Ventoux.

Today is all about wine! We'll cycle through the appellations of Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas, and Vacqueyras, visiting the Domaine de Durban and Caveau Gabriel Meffre. Enjoy the beautiful ride, learn about the region's renowned wines, and savor the stunning scenery. We'll return to Monteux for another night.

Today, we leave the Luberon hills behind and head towards Courthezon. We'll visit the intriguing Caves Jamet vineyard and learn about the unique rules of appellations. In the afternoon, we arrive in Orange, a town known for its spectacular Roman Theatre and triumphal arch, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. After exploring Orange, we return to Monteux for the night.

We start our day with a short ride to Chateauneuf du Pape, a village famous for its wines. We'll visit the Domaine de Nalys and learn about olives in their beautiful groves. After lunch, we cycle along a series of islands in the Rhone to Avignon, a city known for its 14th-century Papal palace. We'll explore the city and its vibrant atmosphere before crossing the Rhone to return to Villeneuve les Avignon for our final night at the Residence les Cedres (or similar).

Our memorable journey through Provence comes to an end. After breakfast, we'll assist you with transportation to Avignon TGV train station, which is just 15 minutes away from the hotel. From there, you can catch a train to Paris, London, Charles de Gaulle airport, or any other destination of your choice. Until we meet again, au revoir!
