Today, we delve into the history of Avignon, a fortress city encircled by ramparts. Our guided sightseeing tour includes a visit to the magnificent Palace of the Popes. Optional excursions include a visit to the ancient Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard or a trip to the wine cellars of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Enjoy some free time to explore Avignon's art, culture, and historic monuments before returning to the ship for live entertainment and an overnight stay. All meals are provided.
