Embark on an unforgettable multi-day tour through the stunning landscapes of Upper Corsica. This adventure combines cycling with cultural exploration, taking you from the picturesque city of Bastia to charming villages, dramatic cliffs, and serene natural reserves. Each day offers a unique experience, from tasting local wines in Patrimonio to exploring the Agriates Desert and the historic sites of Saint-Florent. With flexible routes and optional activities, this tour caters to both avid cyclists and those seeking a leisurely pace. Enjoy comfortable accommodations and immerse yourself in the rich heritage and breathtaking scenery of Corsica.

5 nights in 3 star hotels & 1 night in a local inn on a twin share basis generally with ensuite facilities
6 nights in 2 & 3 star hotels, twin rooms with ensuite facilities. Please note that during the summer months, accommodation in the small villages is hard to find and may mean a small variation to the route. We try to keep any variation to a minimum.
21 speed hybrid bike rental (aluminium or carbon road bike or e-bike available - supplement applies)
Hybrid & e-bikes include helmet, lock, pannier (15L) and a small front bag, repair kit

You will be provided with a rental bike as requested. See Trip Notes for more details about the available bikes. Upgraded models and e-bikes must be pre-booked and a supplement applies.
In the case of a puncture the assumption is that you can repair. You will be given a proper puncture repair kit, which will enable you to solve the problem.
Note: the road bikes are not equipped with a pannier as there isn't a rack.

Begin your adventure with an afternoon check-in at your hotel in Bastia (or similar). After receiving your bike, take the rest of the day to explore the charming capital of Upper Corsica. Wander through the picturesque Old Port, visit the freely accessible Citadel, and enjoy the superb panorama from the Old City. For dinner, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Old Port.

Pedal along the east side of the Cape of Corsica, close to the sea, before crossing to the dramatic cliffs of the west coast. Discover the historical Genoese and Paoline Towers, old convents, and mills along the way. The landscape, including small fishing ports, is breathtaking. Spend the night in the charming village of Canari.

Cycle southward towards Saint-Florent, with an optional visit to the renowned vineyards of Patrimonio. Enjoy tastings in the village cellars and take in the stunning views of the Gulf of Saint-Florent. Upon arrival, explore the citadel and stroll around the port and its quaint commercial streets. Overnight in Saint-Florent.

Ride into the heart of the Agriates Desert, passing through hamlets and enjoying the fragrant maquis scrub. Depending on your chosen route, ascend to the heights of Balagne for dramatic landscapes before descending towards the coast. Arrive at your accommodation near Ile Rousse.

Choose between a day of rest or exploring the enchanting villages of Balagne by bike. Opt for a short ride to Codole Lake or a longer journey to the timeless stone villages. Spend the night in Monticello.

Continue cycling through the villages of Balagne, passing old churches and convents. Follow the border of the Natural Reserve of Corsica until you reach the Golo River Valley. Transfer from Ponte Leccia to your hotel in Lucciana, near the airport.
