Day 1 – Day 1: Arrival in Marseille

Welcome to Marseille, a vibrant port city in southern France. Your tour leader will meet you at the hotel reception for a welcome meeting at 7 pm, followed by a group dinner. If you require an airport transfer, please arrive at Marseille Provence Airport, which is a 30-minute drive from the hotel. No activities are planned for today, so you can relax and settle in.
Day 2 – Day 2: Exploring Marseille and Cycling to Saintes Maries de la Mer

After breakfast, we'll embark on a walking tour of old Marseille, visiting the old port, Place de Lenche, Place de Moulin, and the historic Panier district. We'll then drive to Porte-Saint-Luis-du-Rhone and take a short Rhone river ferry crossing. From here, we'll start our first cycle ride through the protected lowlands of the Rhone delta, ending in Saintes Maries de la Mer, where we'll spend the night.

Today, we'll continue our cycling journey through the rivers, lagoons, and canals of the Camargue and Rhone Delta. We'll visit the fortified medieval town of Aigues Mortes before ending our ride in Villeneuve-les-Maguelone. From there, we'll take a train to Sete, where we'll check into our hotel and have the chance to swim in the Mediterranean.

We'll leave Sete today and cycle to Bezier along back roads and a stretch of the famous Canal du Midi. After reaching Bezier, we'll take a train to the picturesque town of Collioure, known for the impressive Chateau Royal de Collioure that dominates the waterfront.
Day 5 – Day 5: Crossing the Border to Figueres, Spain

Today, we'll cycle inland on quiet back roads over the Banyuls pass, marking the border between France and Spain. We'll then cycle south to Figueres, where we'll spend the night. The afternoon is free for you to explore the town, and you may choose to visit the famous Salvador Dali theatre-museum.
Day 6 – Day 6: Cycling through the Emporda Region to Torroella de Montgri

After breakfast, we'll cycle across the rolling hills of the Emporda region of Catalonia. We'll take a rest stop in Empuries, where you can visit the remains of one of the most important Greek settlements in Spain and enjoy a swim at the beach. We'll then continue to our hotel near Torroella de Montgri.
Day 7 – Day 7: Cycling to Palamos and Bus Ride to Barcelona

This morning, we'll cycle from our hotel through diverse scenery, including stops at the medieval villages of Peratallada and La Bisbal. We'll then continue to the port town of Palamos before taking a bus ride to Barcelona, where we'll arrive in the late afternoon. We'll celebrate the end of our trip with a final group meal in this marvelous city.
