Take a guided sightseeing tour of Avignon, visiting the amazing Palace of the Popes. Optional excursions include a visit to the ancient Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard or a trip to the wine cellars of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Spend the rest of the day exploring Avignon's art, culture, theatre, and museums. Don't forget to snap photos of the captivating countryside, historic monuments, and the medieval Pont Saint-Bénézet. Enjoy live entertainment on board in the evening.

Enjoy a leisurely morning sail to Viviers. Choose to walk up to Vivier's hilltop Cathedral with your Adventure Host or explore the pale-stone buildings of Viviers on an afternoon guided walking tour. You'll see its Romanesque cathedral and Old Town with a mix of historical Christian, Roman, and medieval influences. We'll then set sail for Tain L'Hermitage, where we'll dock overnight.

Start your day with a morning hike in Tournon or take a guided walking tour to explore one of France's oldest medieval cities with its 16th-century castle. During your sailing to Vienne, enjoy jazz entertainment on board. Join a guided walk through Vienne, including the cathedral, Archaeological Gardens of Cybèle, and Roman Temple of Augustus & Livia. In the evening, enjoy free time to attend the well-known Vienne Jazz Festival.

Join a guided sightseeing tour to survey Lyon from Fourvière Hill with its numerous churches. Later, enjoy a delicious cheese tasting on board your ship. In the evening, enjoy live entertainment on board as we sail to Chalon-sur-Saône.

Visit the Hôtel-Dieu Charity Hospital in Beaune, built in 1443, today home of the Van der Weyden's painting of the Last Judgment and one of France's architectural highlights. In the afternoon, travel by motorcoach to Basel to board your Rhine River cruise. We'll then set sail for Breisach, where we'll dock overnight.

Enjoy the view on a relaxing bike ride along the Rhine or join a full-day guided tour to the magical Black Forest. You can also choose to explore Freiburg's medieval city center. Optional excursions include a visit to the charming village of Colmar. In the evening, we'll set sail for Strasbourg.

Optional excursions include a visit to the historic Maginot Line or Alsace's wine country. Enjoy some free time in Strasbourg before we set sail for Mainz.

Join an inspiring walk in Heidelberg, the Philosophers' way, or enjoy a guided tour to Heidelberg Castle. You can also choose a guided city walk including a visit to the Gutenberg Museum. In the evening, enjoy live entertainment on board as we sail to Rüdesheim.

En route to Koblenz, sail through the Rhine Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and pass the legendary Rock of the Lorelei.
