Train Experience Through The Alps (Full Day)

Excellent train trip! Our guide was so knowledgeable and attentive! It was cold but a stunning view of the French Alps. The history we learned was extremely interesting. Our lunch was fabulous and included in our tour price. I highly recommend this tour. Cyril Our guide was one of the best I ever had and I travel a lot!

For an inexperienced hiker such as myself, be warned: you will love the hikes and will never ever be the same after! Our guide, Matt, is an incredible guy and I felt safe all day! We went to Entrevaux for our first hike and it was incredible. We started off with 6 guests, but for the second hike, the other family of four decided to go back to Nice. So it was just me and the other solo traveler plus Matt. The hike to Annoy was the best and my most favorite hike ever! I’ve never hiked ever before, but after enduring this quite difficult and long hike, I have evolved into this adventurous person! I highly suggest that you take this trip and if you have an option to pick your guide, I highly encourage you to choose Matt as your guide! He’s just simply amazing! Thanks Matt for this incredible experience!

This was by far the best thing I have gotten in a long time. Matt was a wonderful tour guide who carried us through two smaller towns and two hikes that were fun to do and came with the reward of a beautiful view of the valley below. The journey to and from Nice is long, but coming in the morning it’s a wonderful view! If you’re travelling in winter, be sure to bring extra warm clothing! Cyril was incredible and the hike in Entrevoux was challenging but absolutely worth it! We learned so much and he was absolutely amazing the entire way! He even helped us plan some things to do later in our trip, and followed-up with us personally to see how it went.

A must do as the view along the train ride to the Alps are just stunning. Cyril is knowledgeable and passionate.

This was a fabulous trip. If you want history with some vigorous activity, this is the trip for you. Cyril, our guide, was informative, funny, helpful and all around great guide. Our group opted to hike in two areas. Annot was in the mountains. It was sometimes difficult, but Cyril was there to help. We had lunch at a quaint charcuterie which was delicious. Then we traveled onto Entrevaux to climb to the Citadel. It was all paved but a slow steady climb to the top. Then we enjoyed dinner together (not part of the trip) before heading back to Nice.

I bought this as a splurge for myself. The trip was booked for the day after my birthday but had to change to my actual birthday. It ended up being the perfect way to spent my day! The tour guide Matt was so kind and patient and informative of everything. We knew exactly what to expect with his knowledge of the trails and areas we would be climbing and walking. Our group ended up having a great energy and got along incredibly well. Matt capped the day off by surprising me with a birthday pastry, complete with a candle, and everyone sang to me. It was the best day in a beautiful area that I could only dream of seeing.

I had a fantastic experience! My tour guide, Carmela, was so pleasant and knowledgeable. She made great effort to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. She even extended the hiking tour in Annot to one of the best spots on the mountain. We had spectacular views and she was so kind and accommodating to our whole group!
