Start your day exploring the Engelhartszell Monastery, renowned for its beautifully renovated church and 'healing' herbal schnapps. Cycle downstream on the former Treppelweg, and consider a ride on the walnut-shell-sized longitudinal ferry through the Schlögener Schlinge. From Aschach, you'll reach Linz by boat. Don't miss the chance to explore the city with the bright yellow City Express.

Begin your day with a boat trip to Mauthausen, where you'll have the opportunity to visit the concentration camp memorial. Gain a deep insight into the past at the Celtic village in Mitterkirchen. Choose between an easy bike route along the Danube or a more challenging route via Clam Castle in the beautiful hinterland of the Strudengau. Your destination for the day is Grein, home to the impressive Greinburg Castle, Austria's oldest residential castle.

Start your day cycling through the 'wild Strudengau', a narrow section of the Danube once notorious among boatmen. Continue to Melk, home to a magnificent Benedictine monastery. After exploring Melk, board the ship for a boat trip through the Wachau region, arriving in the garden city of Tulln.

Begin your day with a visit to Klosterneuburg Abbey, a 900-year-old baroque masterpiece just outside Vienna. From the wine tavern village Kahlenbergerdorf, consider a short hike through the vineyards to the panorama terrace of the Kahlenberg for a breathtaking view of the metropolis. Continue your journey to Vienna, the city of music and dreams.

Spend the day exploring the countless sights of Vienna. Visit St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg, and the magnificent Ringstrasse boulevard with the Burgtheater, State Opera House, and City Hall. Take time to stroll around the city or visit one of the famous Viennese cafés. In the evening, your ship will sail to Dürnstein or Rossatz in the Wachau region.

Spend your day in the enchanting Wachau region, known for its rolling hills, dreamy villages, wine terraces, castles, monasteries, and ruins. Visit the blue tower of the collegiate church of Dürnstein, a landmark of the Wachau. Enjoy a last view of the imposing Melk Abbey before you go back on board. In the evening, enjoy a festive farewell dinner as your boat sails back to Passau.

As your journey comes to an end, enjoy the first rays of sunshine on deck and the peaceful morning silence of the Danube valley. You will reach Passau around 11:00 a.m., where you will disembark and begin your journey home. We recommend booking train connections from about 13:30.
