Crossing the Alps E5 from Oberstdorf to Merano With Charme

Embark on a captivating trail through the Allgäu Alps, ascending steadily through the Sperrbachtobel ravine to the Kemptner Hütte. Venture into the heart of the Lechtal Alps on secluded alpine roads, leading you to the Sennalpen. Take a break at the rustic Leutkircher Hütte before descending towards the Arlberg. Start your day with a thrilling gondola ride up to the Venet peak, where you'll be greeted with 360-degree panoramic views of snow-capped mountains and rocky heights. After climbing two peaks, rest on a mountain pasture amidst the soothing sound of cowbells. A beautiful meadow and forest path will lead you to Wenns in the Pitztal valley.

After a short bus ride, hike up the panoramic trail to the Braunschweiger Hütte. Reach the highest point of your trip at the Pitztaler Jöchl, nearly 3,000m above sea level. Descend through the Rettenbach into the valley, then take a bus or gondola down into the Ötztal.
