Lovely mountain lodge hotel at Morteratsch

At the foot of the Morteratsch Glacier, we will find our mountain refuge, well, a bit better than that! Crispy clean rooms with all we need await us. The hotel can be reached by the local mountain train that either climbs onto the pass Bernina or takes you down to Pontresina and St. Moritz.

The other hotels are all of good quality, family-run in the smaller places. All will serve a lovely breakfast.

If you've had your fill of climbing, you can end your tour in Zuoz and take a van or train to our hotel in Zernez. For those seeking more adventure, continue along a forest path that winds up and down the foot of the mountains.

Today is one of the most challenging days of biking. Start by following the river from Zernez to Lavin, then climb a quiet gravel road up to Guarda. If you're not into climbing, a shuttle from Zernez is available. After lunch, continue through Ardez and Ftan, both villages on the hills. The reward for your effort is not only the charming villages and stunning views but also a thrilling 3.5 km descent down to Scuol. From Scuol, take two buses to Nauders in Austria for a good night's sleep.
