Leave Munich behind as you cycle through the serene Forstenrieder Park to the stunning Lake Starnberger See. Continue along the lakeside cycle path to the towns of Starnberg, Ambach, and Bernried, enjoying fabulous views of the surrounding mountains and the lake's crystal-clear waters.

Cycle past the tranquil Lake Riegsee to the town of Murnau. Continue through the Murnauer Moos nature reserve, Central Europe's largest marsh area, following the Loisach river to Garmisch Partenkirchen. Here, take an optional ride on the Zugspitzbahn to an altitude of 2962 m, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views over the Alps.

Cycle along the beautifully developed path to the Isar River, through a sunny high mountain valley with stunning views of the Karwendel and Wettersteingebirge mountains. Stop in the picturesque town of Mittenwald, known for its painted houses, before continuing through the spectacular Leutaschklamm ravine to Austria. End your day in the stunningly beautiful Leutasch valley.

Cycle over into the Inn-river valley, leaving Leutasch on a country road that leads you on gently hilly terrain before a long descent takes you to Telfs. Cycle along the former towpath along the river Inn to reach Stams with its Baroque Cistercian monastery. Then, it's a short ride via Haiming to Imst, the so-called 'North Tyrolean Merano'.

Cycle along the river Inn, past the monastery Zams to Landeck. A bus will take you to Nauders from where you will cycle less than 100 metres in altitude uphill to the mountain pass Reschenpass. From there, you will cycle downhill to Lake Reschensee and continue on minor roads to Mals or to Burgeis at the foot of the castle Marienburg.

Start your day with a trip to Glurns, a city known for its perfectly preserved medieval city walls. Cycle through the Montani ruins and Schlanders, down to Merano. Along the way, you'll pass by beautiful castles, including mountaineer Reinhold Messner's castle Juval, and enjoy stunning views of the Ortlermassiv mountain massif and the Stilfserjoch mountain pass.

Cycle through Lana, home to the famous Schnatterpeck Altar, and continue through numerous orchards and vineyards along the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Pass by many fortresses, castles, and ruins such as Hocheppan, known for its famous frescos, to Lake Caldaro. Spend the night in the cosy wine town of Auer.

Cycle mostly along the Adige River, and partly through orchards to Salurn, where the German-speaking South Tyrol ends. The famous Trentino vineyards are located next to the dam ways. These ways lead you to Trento with its lovely old town, cathedral, and castle Buonconsiglio.

Cycle on bike paths along the Adige River via the old Tyrolean border town of Rovereto to Mori. From here, the route leads westward to Lake Garda. In Mori, you will taste the world-famous pistachio ice cream at the Gelateria Bologna. After a short climb onto Passo S. Giovanni, you will head down to the lake to Torbole or Riva.
