Follow the former towpath along the river Inn to reach Stams, home to a beautiful Baroque Cistercian monastery. Continue to Haiming and then to Imst, the 'North Tyrolean Merano'. Overnight stay in Imst (or similar).

Cycle along the river Inn, passing the monastery Zams to reach Landeck. A bus will take you to Nauders, from where you'll cycle uphill to the Reschenpass. Enjoy a downhill ride to Lake Reschensee and continue to Mals or Burgeis, at the foot of the castle Marienburg. Overnight stay in Burgeis (or similar).

Start your day with a visit to Glurns, known for its perfectly preserved medieval city walls. Cycle through Schlanders and down to Merano, passing by the Montani ruins and the castle Juval, owned by mountaineer Reinhold Messner. Marvel at the impressive Ortlermassiv mountain massif and the Stilfserjoch mountain pass. Overnight stay in Merano (or similar).
