Start your day with a visit to the spectacular archaeological site of Ancient Messene, a UNESCO monument built on the side of the Messenian valley. Continue to Vassae (ancient Figaleia), where the proud temple of Apollo Epikurios stands at an elevation of 1.130 meters. This architectural gem was the first of the great monuments of Greece to be recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. End the day at Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Spend the morning exploring the archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, nestled in the lush valley formed by the Alfios River.
