Day 1 – Day 1: Thermopylae and Thessaloniki

Your journey begins with a visit to the heroic statue of Leonidas at Thermopylae, a poignant memorial to the battle of the 300 Spartans. From there, we'll journey to the breathtaking Valley of Tempe, a gorge of towering cliffs and flowing river. Our day concludes in the vibrant city of Thessaloniki, where we'll visit the Vlatades Monastery and enjoy panoramic views of the Thermaikos Gulf. After a day of exploration, unwind with delicious Greek cuisine and a stroll along the city's coastline.

Day two takes us deeper into Thessaloniki, exploring the Arch of Galerius, the imposing Rotunda, and the sacred St. Demetrius Basilica and Acheiropoietos Church. We then journey to the small town of Nea Fokea to visit the Agiasma of St. Paul, an underground corridor with a rich history. Our next stop is Philippoi, where we'll visit the Acropolis and the site where the first European woman was baptized. We end the day in the modern city of Kavala, where you'll have time to explore and enjoy a local meal.

On day three, we journey to the beautiful town of Veroia to visit the church and marble Vima of Apostle Paul. We then continue to the ancient town of Vergina, where we'll explore the King's tombs, including the tomb of Alexander the Great's father. Our day concludes with a drive to the stunning landscapes of Meteora, where we'll spend the night in the city of Kalambaka.

Day four takes us to the awe-inspiring Byzantine monasteries of Meteora, including the Holy Monastery of Great Meteoro and the Monastery of St. Stephan. We'll also visit the museum, home to a treasure trove of Byzantine and Christian artifacts. From there, we journey to Delphi, where you'll have free time to explore the beautiful winter resort of Arachova.

Day five takes us to the heart of Delphi, where we'll visit the Castalia Spring and the Temple of Apollon. We'll also explore the Delphi Museum, home to a wealth of ancient artifacts. Our journey continues to the Monastery of St. Lukas, a stunning example of Byzantine architecture. After a traditional Greek lunch, we return to Athens for the night.

Day six begins with a tour of Athens, visiting the Church of Saint Paul, Mars Hill, and the ancient Market and Agora. We'll also enjoy a panoramic city tour, taking in sights like the Panathinaiko Stadium and the Presidential Guards. In the evening, we'll board a ferry in Piraeus and set sail for the tranquil island of Patmos, where we'll spend the night on the boat.

Day seven takes us to the sacred Grotto of the Apocalypse and the Monastery of St. John on the island of Patmos. We'll also visit the Chapel of Virgin Mary and the charming village of Grikos.
