Embark on an 8-day adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Chania, Greece. This multi-day tour is a perfect blend of nature, history, and culture. From the coastal village of Paleochora to the imposing White Mountains, you'll experience the unique flora and fauna, crystal clear waters, and ancient ruins. The tour includes hikes through the Agia Irini gorge, the Lissos Gorge, and the Aradena gorge, visits to the ruins of ancient Lissos and the Venetian fortress, and a chance to explore the villages of Sougia, Omalos, and Agia Roumeli. With comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, and an experienced guide, this tour promises an unforgettable journey.

Welcome to Chania! An ASI representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you'll have the opportunity to explore the coastal village of Paleochora, home to 1,800 inhabitants and a Venetian fortress. Enjoy a stroll along its sandy and rocky beaches. At 19:00, our guide will brief you about the upcoming hiking week. Overnight stay will be at Hotel Glaros (or similar).
Day 2 – Day 2: Hiking to Lissos and Sougia

Today, we'll hike uphill to Cape Flomes, offering a stunning view of the region. We'll explore the ruins of ancient Lissos, including the temple of Asklepios. The hike continues through the green Lissos Gorge, leading us to our destination, Sougia. Here, you can relax in cozy cafes and taverns. Overnight stay will be at Hotel Santa Irene (or similar).
Day 3 – Day 3: Journey through Agia Irini Gorge to Omalos

Our journey continues through the Agia Irini gorge, a deep cut through the western foothills of the White Mountains. The hike is uphill, leading us to the Omalos plateau, surrounded by pine, maple, and oak trees. Please pack only essentials for today as our luggage will be transported directly to Agia Roumeli. Overnight stay will be at Neos Omalos Hotel (or similar).
Day 4 – Day 4: Hiking to Agia Roumeli

Today's hike requires a good basic condition but promises a unique nature experience. We'll start early and end the day in Agia Roumeli, where you can enjoy the sea and taste the traditional cuisine. Overnight stay will be at Hotel Gigilos (or similar).
Day 5 – Day 5: Coastal Hike to Loutro
Day 5: Coastal Hike to Loutro
Our journey continues along the coast, passing small pebble beaches and the Byzantine church of Agios Pavlos. We'll stop for a swim and a meal in the secluded Marmara Bay before reaching our destination, Loutro, a car-free fishing village in a crescent-shaped bay. Overnight stay will be at Hotel Madares (or similar).
Day 6 – Day 6: Hiking from Anopolis to Loutro
Day 6: Hiking from Anopolis to Loutro
Today, we'll climb up to the village of Anopolis and then follow a rocky path down to the south coast. The view over the Lybian Sea, Loutro, and the island of Gavdos is breathtaking. We'll pass the ruins of the almost abandoned village of Aradena and hike through the Aradena gorge before reaching Loutro again. Overnight stay will be at Hotel Madares (or similar).

Our hike today takes us around the small cape Poutna, with two beautiful beaches inviting you for a swim. We'll pass the freshwater beach Glika Nera, enclosed by spectacular cliffs, before climbing an alpine path to Chora Sfakion. This small village offers some taverns and a small market. Overnight stay will be at Arkadi Hotel (or similar).
