Start your hike at Agios Nikolaos Fountoukli, one of the most beautiful churches on the island. Traverse the northern side of Mount Profitis Ilias to reach the village of Salakos. You can choose to continue the hike to the summit or take a van ride. End the day with a celebration in a taverna in Apollona, followed by a wine tasting in Embona.
