Day 1 – Day 1: Corfu - Igoumenitsa - Meteora - Kalabaka

Your journey begins at the port of Corfu, where you'll meet your tour leader and fellow travelers. From there, we'll take a ferry to Igoumenitsa, where we'll enjoy a brief seaside visit. Our next stop is the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site of Meteora, known for its unique rock formations and monasteries dating back to the 14th-15th century. We'll also visit the 11th-century Church of Assumptions, which features marble stones from an ancient Greek temple. Enjoy the local cuisine, with a focus on mushrooms, yogurt, cheese, and honey. We'll spend the night in the charming town of Kalabaka.

Today, we cross the border into Albania and head to Gjirokaster, also known as 'The Stone City'. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a beautifully preserved medieval town, nestled on the eastern side of the 'Mali i Gjere' mountain. The city's history begins with the Gjirokaster Castle, built in the 4th century AD. We'll explore the atmospheric old town, with its narrow stone-decorated streets, and visit one of the city's best-preserved houses. Every five years, Gjirokaster becomes a hub of Albanian folklore and traditional music, adding to its cultural richness. We'll spend the night in Gjirokaster.

On the final day of our tour, we'll visit Butrint, the most significant archaeological site in Albania and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, we'll head to Ksamil, known as the pearl of the Albanian Riviera. Here, you'll enjoy the white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, with a view of the four islands in front of the beach. We'll then depart for Saranda Port, where we'll take a ferry back to Corfu. This marks the end of our unforgettable journey, filled with new friendships and lasting memories.
