Upon landing at Keflavik Airport, collect your luggage and rental car and head to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, we suggest exploring the UNESCO GeoPark site, Reykjanes Peninsula, known for its unique geology and volcanoes. Don't miss the chance to relax in the renowned Blue Lagoon (advance booking required). End your day in the charming village of Hveragerdi, known as the 'flower village' due to its many geothermal-heated greenhouses. Overnight in Hveragerdi.

Start your day with a visit to the natural wonders of the Golden Circle region. Marvel at the beauty of Gullfoss Waterfall, explore the active geothermal field of Geysir, and visit Thingvellir National Park, a site of historical and geological significance. Drive through the scenic Hvalfjordur fjord to Borgarfjordur, known for its Viking-age history and beautiful landscapes. Overnight in the Borgarfjordur area.

Spend the day exploring Borgarfjordur, known for its local handicrafts and taste treats. Visit the beautiful Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, and the powerful Deildartunguhver hot springs. Relax at the Krauma Natural Geothermal Spa and enjoy the beautiful views. Head into Skagafjordur, known for horse breeding and well-preserved historical buildings. Overnight in Northwest Iceland.

Continue your journey towards the town of Akureyri, known for its beautifully restored timber buildings. Explore the trendy Listagil area, visit the Akureyri Art Museum, and relax in the Skogabod geothermal baths. In the afternoon, head towards Myvatn, stopping to view the beautiful Godafoss waterfalls. Overnight in the Lake Myvatn area.

Spend the day exploring the volcanic features of the Myvatn nature reserve. Stroll along the lava formations at Dimmuborgir, visit the surreal area surrounding Krafla volcano, and explore the colorful slopes of Namaskard pass. After a day of exploration, relax in the Myvatn Nature Baths. Overnight in the Lake Myvatn area.

Drive north to the charming fishing port of Husavik, where you can enjoy a whale watching tour and visit the Whale Museum. Relax in the unique geothermal sea bathing at the GeoSea Natural Baths. Explore the northern entrance of Vatnajokull National Park, including Asbyrgi, a magnificent horseshoe-shaped canyon, and Dettifoss waterfall, the most powerful cascade in Europe. Overnight in the Eastfjords.

Start your day with a swim in the Vok geothermal baths. Visit Hallormsstadur, Iceland's first reforestation project, and the award-winning Wilderness Center. Drive south through the spectacular Eastfjords, where towering mountains plunge into the ocean. Arrive in the town of Hofn, known as the lobster capital of northern Europe. Overnight in the Hofn area.

Drive along the Ring Road, enjoying great views of Vatnajokull glacier. Visit Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon and the nearby Diamond Beach. Take a boat tour in the lagoon or try the Zodiac boat tours on Fjallsarlon Lagoon. Continue to Vatnajokull National Park's Skaftafell, a beautiful nature area surrounded by glaciers. End your day in the picturesque village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur. Overnight in the Kirkjubaejarklaustur area.

Drive along the spectacular south coast and Katla Geopark. Cross over vast black sand plains and drive alongside the massive Eldhraun lava flow. Stop to admire the black sand beaches and cliffs at Dyrholaey and visit the beautiful waterfalls of Skogafoss and Seljalandafoss. Visit the interactive LAVA Centre in Hvolsvollur. Drive to Reykjavik in the late afternoon. Overnight in Reykjavik.

Drive back to Keflavik International Airport. If you have some free time, you might want to visit the Blue Lagoon en route to the airport. Your rental car should be returned to the airport service area, from where a shuttle will transport you to the departure hall.
