Upon your arrival at Keflavik Airport, collect your luggage and rental car, then set off for your hotel. Your journey takes you along the mystical South Coast, past rocky beaches and thundering waves, to the charming village of Hveragerdi. Known as the 'flower village' due to its many greenhouses heated by geothermal springs, Hveragerdi offers a unique glimpse into small-town Icelandic culture. Spend the night in the Hveragerdi area.

Start your day with a visit to the stunning Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir hot spring area, home to the famous Strokkur geyser. Continue along the scenic South Shore, passing the infamous Eyjafjallajokull volcano and stopping at the interactive LAVA Centre. Marvel at the beautiful Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls and opt for a snowmobiling trip on the Myrdalsjokull glacier. Explore the seafront village of Vik and the dramatic coastline of Reynisfjara. If you visit during the summer, don't miss Dyrholaey, a rocky headland known for its black lava arch and nesting sea birds. Overnight in Vik.

Today, explore the vast Vatnajokull National Park, home to Europe's largest glacier. Visit the Skaftafell area, a green oasis nestled between glaciers, and take a hike to the basalt-lined Svartifoss Falls. Continue to the Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon, where you can marvel at the shimmering icebergs and perhaps spot sunbathing seals. Consider taking a boat trip on the lagoon or visiting the nearby Diamond Beach, where pieces of glaciers glitter on the black sand. Return to Vik in the late afternoon for your overnight stay.

Travel to Thingvellir National Park, the site of the ancient Icelandic Viking parliament and a meeting point between the North American and European continents. Continue to the beautiful Borgarfjordur region and the historic village of Reykholt. Visit the stunning Hraunfossar Falls and witness the power of the Deildartunguhver hot springs. End your day with a relaxing soak in the Krauma Geothermal Natural Spa before settling in for the night in the Borgarfjordur area.

Drive along the north coast through lively fishing villages and catch a glimpse of the photogenic Kirkjufell mountain. Consider a whale watching tour in Olafsvik town before returning to Borgarfjordur for the night.

Today, discover the geological wonders of the Reykjanes peninsula, a UNESCO Geopark. Explore the moon-like surroundings of Lake Kleifarvatn and the Krysuvik geothermal area with its bubbling mud pools. Cross the Mid-Atlantic ridge on the Bridge between Continents and visit the fishing village of Grindavik. Unwind in the famous Blue Lagoon's soothing mineral waters before heading to Reykjavik for your overnight stay. Enjoy the vibrant culture and food scene of Iceland's capital.

On your final day, drive back to Keflavik International Airport for your departure. We recommend leaving your hotel in Reykjavik at least three hours before your flight to allow for check-in and travel time.
