Depending on your arrival time, we recommend exploring the UNESCO GeoPark site, Reykjanes Peninsula, known for its unique geology and recent volcanic eruptions. Don't miss the chance to relax in the world-famous Blue Lagoon (advance booking required). End your day in the vibrant city of Reykjavik, where you'll spend the night.

Today, journey to the scenic Borgarfjörður region, a favorite holiday spot among locals. En route, consider a dip in the Hvammsvik nature area's seaside hot spring pools. In Borgarfjörður, visit the Settlement Museum in Borgarnes town, marvel at Europe's most powerful hot springs, Deildartunguhver, and the beautiful Hraunfossar (the Lava Falls). Unwind at the Krauma natural geothermal baths before settling in for the night in the Borgarfjörður area.

Today, choose between exploring more of the Borgarfjörður region or visiting the scenic Snæfellsnes Peninsula. In Borgarfjörður, you can venture into the heart of Langjökull Glacier or visit the colorful Viðgelmir lava cave. If you opt for Snæfellsnes, known as 'Iceland in a Nutshell', visit the Arnarstapi sea cliffs, the rocky beach of Djúpalónssandur, and the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. Spend another night in the Borgarfjörður area.

Next, explore the geothermal fields of Geysir and marvel at the Gullfoss waterfall. Travel along the south coast, one of Iceland's main farming areas. Visit the magnificent Skógafoss waterfall and the Skógar Folk Museum. Spend the day exploring the glacial wonders in Vatnajökull National Park. Visit the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, where blue, white, turquoise, and black-streaked icebergs shift and dance. Drive back west along the scenic south coast. Visit Seljalandsfoss waterfall and pass through landscapes impacted by the famous Eyjafjallajökull volcano. Stop in the town of Selfoss and enjoy the charming architecture and local shops. Visit the geothermal village of Hveragerði, known for its greenhouses. Return to Reykjavik in the late afternoon and consider a visit to the Sky Lagoon, a seaside geothermal spa. Spend the night in Reykjavik.

Drive back to Keflavik International Airport for your departure. We recommend leaving your hotel in Reykjavik at least 3 hours before your flight. If you didn't visit the Blue Lagoon earlier and have some free time today, consider a detour en route to the airport. Return your rental car at the airport service area and take a shuttle to the departure hall.
