We kick off our Icelandic adventure from Reykjavik, heading towards the Golden Circle route. Here, we'll explore the Thingvellir National Park and the Geysir Geothermal Area, where the Strokkur geyser erupts every few minutes. We'll also visit the majestic Gullfoss waterfall, followed by the Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls. After a stroll on the black lava beach of Reynisfjara, we'll head to our rural hotel in Kirkjubajarklaustur, a perfect spot for Northern Lights viewing during winter months.

Our day begins with a guided glacier hike at Skaftafell in the Vatnajokull National Park during summer, or an ice cave exploration during winter. We then visit the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, where icebergs calve from the nearby Vatnajokull Glacier. We'll also see the famous Diamond Beach, with its black sands adorned with glittering icebergs. We end our day in Hof, another great spot for Northern Lights viewing in winter.

Today, we venture off the beaten path, traveling along the Eastern Fjords coastline to the charming riverside town of Egilsstadir. En route, we'll stop at the fishing village of Djupivogur, home to a unique outdoor sculpture. The rest of the day will be spent at the Wilderness Center, a live history museum offering optional activities like hiking, biking, horse riding, exhibitions, and a hot spring spa.

We start our day with a visit to the enchanting Studlagil Canyon, known for its basalt rock formations. We then explore the mystical landscapes around Lake Myvatn, a designated nature reserve with lava fields and volcanic craters. You'll have the option to soak in the famous Myvatn Nature Baths. We'll also visit the Namskard Geothermal Area and the Dimmuborgir formations, known as the 'Dark Castles' in Icelandic folklore. Our last stop is the Godafoss waterfall before we arrive in Akureyri, a city with panoramic views over the Eyjafjordur fjord.

Today, we'll have the chance to get up close with some of the giants of the natural world. We'll embark on a three-hour whale-watching cruise from the fishing town of Dalvik, hoping to spot humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, and perhaps even a blue whale. After the cruise, we'll drive along the Trollaskagi Peninsula, taking in quaint fishing hamlets and agricultural areas. We end our day in Laugarbakki, another great spot for Northern Lights viewing in winter.

On our final day, we make our return journey to Reykjavik. We'll start with a short hike up to Grabrok, a volcano crater offering fabulous views over the lava field. We'll make numerous stops in Borgarfjordur, Iceland's western region, including the Deildartunguhver hot spring, the legendary Barnafoss waterfall, and the Hraunfossar cascade. We'll also stop in the picturesque village of Reykholt before arriving back in Reykjavik, where our unforgettable Icelandic adventure comes to an end.
