Laugavegur Trek 4D/3N

Kick off your journey with an early morning pick-up from Reykjavik and a scenic drive to Landmannalaugar. Along the way, you'll pass by the Hekla volcano, known as 'The Gateway to Hell'. Start your trek on the Laugavegur trail, marveling at the vibrant colors of the rhyolite mountains and the steaming hot springs. Spend your first night in the remote Hrafntinnusker Mountain hut, surrounded by outstanding natural beauty.

Start your day with a nourishing breakfast before setting off to the Reykjafjöll mountains and the Jökultungur area. Marvel at the contrasting colors of the landscape as you make your way to Álftavatn, where you'll spend the night. Experience the thrill of crossing a river on foot and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by beautiful vistas.

After a good night's sleep, set off towards Emstrur, passing by the Stórasúla and Hattafell volcanoes. If the weather permits, you'll get a glimpse of the Mýrdalsjökull and Eyjafjallajökull glaciers. Spend the night in Botnar, a green oasis in the midst of a black sand desert, and enjoy your final evening with a delicious dinner and spectacular views.

On your final day, leave Emstrur and continue your journey towards Thorsmork. As you traverse the picturesque gorge by Mount Einhyrningur, the landscape will gradually change, introducing you to the dense birch forest of Thorsmork. Celebrate the completion of your trek before heading back to Reykjavik, with a brief stop at the elegant Seljalandsfoss waterfall.
