Begin your journey with a drive to Landmannalaugar, where you'll explore the Laugahraun lava field, crafted by a massive volcanic eruption in 1477. Then, head to Brennisteinsalda, a volcano whose slopes have been dyed various colors by sulfur deposits over the centuries, offering one of the most photogenic spots in all of Iceland.

On the second day, we'll head to Hrafntinnusker, an obsidian desert that offers an otherworldly sight. Follow the Reykjafjoll Mountains with their snowy peaks and superb views of the area. Then, climb the Jökultungur Mountain and enjoy breathtaking views over the famous Fjallabak Nature Reserve. End the day at Lake Alftavatn, where we'll spend the night.

The third day will start by exploring the rich flora and fauna of Mælifellssandur. Then, we'll head to the black desert of Mælifellssandur and the green valley of Emstrur, offering a stark contrast in landscapes. We'll also visit the deep canyon of Markarfljótsgljúfur before spending the night in a secluded mountain hut in Botnar.

Our last day in the Icelandic Highlands will take us to the famous Thorsmork Valley, a green oasis nestled between two massive glaciers. We'll start by walking close to the Myrdalsjokull Glacier, an endless ocean of snow, before reaching the dense birch forest of Thorsmork. We'll leave for a country hotel at around 21:30 pm.
