Today, visit Nina and Peppino's vegetable garden, learn about local varieties, and participate in a hands-on cooking lesson at their restaurant, Tre Archi. After lunch, head to the Alta Murgia National Park for a scenic walk, ending at the Lamalunga archeological museum where you'll learn about the 'Altamura man', a Neanderthal who fell into a sinkhole around 150,000 years ago.

Embark on a morning walk around the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Castel del Monte, followed by a lunch of local produce at the organic farm, Masseria Sei Carri. Spend the morning exploring the Sassi neighborhood of Matera, a place that has been continuously inhabited for 5000 years. If the path down into the gorge is closed, an alternative walk around the Belvedere di Timeo will be arranged, offering spectacular views of Matera.
