We know how important hotels are on your trip. The hotels have been selected taking into consideration quality, price and location. They are located in the cities we visit, most of them not in the city center but all of them with easy access to public transportation nearby. Our accommodation is not based on luxury hotels. Please keep in mind that standards, bed sizes and room dimensions can vary between hotels of the same class in different locations. All rooms are equipped with private bathroom and TV. Some of them also offer a mini-bar, safe box, and hair dryer. Many hotels, mainly in North Europe, do not have air conditioning or local legislation establishes limited dates of use.

Begin your journey with a scenic drive towards the Adriatic Sea, passing through the magnificent landscapes of the Apennine Mountain range. Visit the 11th-century Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, built on the ruins of an ancient Roman temple. Next, explore Termoli, a charming seaside city dominated by a 13th-century castle and Romanesque cathedral. Continue to the world heritage site of Monte Sant'Angelo, a place of pilgrimage with a Romanesque sanctuary located in a cave. Enjoy a walk through the medieval center of the town before heading to Trani, the 'pearl of the Adriatic', known for its pink Romanesque cathedral. End the day in Bari, where you'll have free time to explore the port, promenade, and alleys of the old town before checking into your hotel.

Start your day with a leisurely stroll through the old town of Bari, a port city inhabited since before Roman times. Continue to Brindisi, a walled port city where you can admire the impressive Roman column and stroll through its old quarter. Next, visit Lecce, known as the 'Florence of the South' for its stunning baroque architecture. After lunch, explore Taranto, a vibrant city with a great Aragonese castle, an old quarter, and a cathedral. Return to Brindisi for your overnight stay.

Today, visit Alberobello, a charming town famous for its unique conical-shaped houses known as 'trulli', a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Matera, known for its 'Sassi di Matera', a complex of ancient houses and buildings carved into the rock that date back thousands of years. After lunch, journey through the beautiful mountain landscapes of Basilicata and Campania, before arriving in Naples in the evening. Enjoy some free time to explore this ancient city at your leisure.

Enjoy some free time in Naples before embarking on a boat trip to the Island of Capri. Here, you can take a boat to the Blue Grotto or the cable car to Capri city. Board the boat again and continue to Sorrento, a charming tourist town at the base of a cliff. After some free time to explore, continue to the Gulf of Salerno for your overnight stay.

Travel south through the attractive landscapes of the Cilento National Park to Paola, on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Visit the sanctuary of St Francis of Paola and enjoy free time for lunch in its pretty historic center. Continue to Villa San Giovanni and take a short ferry crossing to the island of Sicily. Arrive in Messina, where you'll have time for a stroll and to visit the cathedral before continuing to Taormina. Note: Accommodation may sometimes be in Messina.

Explore Taormina, a beautiful city at the foot of the Etna volcano, before continuing to Caltagirone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Baroque architecture. Enjoy a ride on a tourist train and visit the city's numerous ceramic shops and workshops. After lunch, visit the Villa Romana del Casale, a World Heritage Site known for its beautiful mosaics. Cross the mountainous center of the island to reach Palermo, where you'll arrive at the end of the day.

Enjoy a guided city tour of Palermo, where you'll visit the cathedral, admire the mix of architectural styles, and explore the Norman Palace. Note: If the number of travelers is limited, the visit may be carried out with a regular excursion provided by local companies.
