Cinque Terre & Tuscany Walking & Hiking Tour

We begin our journey at the Florence Villa Costanza Meeting Point, heading towards the Vernaccia wine country for a scenic walk. As the day winds down, we arrive in San Gimignano, a picturesque medieval hill town. After settling into your hotel, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the town, followed by a welcome dinner with the group. Meals included: Dinner.

We leave San Gimignano behind, traversing olive groves and vineyards to reach a small family-run winery for a delicious local lunch. Post lunch, we follow a wooded trail leading to the ruins of a medieval village and then towards Volterra. Arriving in Volterra, you can indulge in a well-deserved gelato. After a short drive, we arrive in the medieval town of Volterra. Here, we explore the historical heart of the town and enjoy some free time to visit the art galleries and alabaster workshops. Post lunch, we continue our journey to the walled city of Lucca, where you have the evening to explore at your leisure. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch.

Enjoy a free morning in Lucca, a city known for its music and as the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini. Stroll or bicycle along the city's Renaissance walls, explore the pedestrian streets, visit Romanesque churches, and shop at classy boutiques. In the evening, we gather for an aperitif, an hour of opera music, and dinner at a local restaurant. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner.

We depart from Lucca and head into the mountains to visit the Fantiscritti marble caves & museum, where Michelangelo found his 'David'. In the afternoon, we hike from the coastal town of Levanto to Monterosso, the northernmost village of the Cinque Terre. Here, you can cool off in the sea, enjoy a gelato, or sip on local Sciacchetra wine. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Today, we explore the magical Cinque Terre, a region of ancient stone stairways and terraced vineyards. Starting from Monterosso, we walk to Vernazza, a bustling town perfect for exploration before lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Manarola and Corniglia by train, each offering unique charm and history. The evening is yours to relax or dine in Monterosso. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch.

We embark on a beautiful hike along the high trail above the Cinque Terre, passing through woods, remote villages, and churches with stunning sea views. The trail then descends steeply to the Roman-Byzantine town of Portovenere, a picturesque place to explore. In the evening, we gather for a farewell dinner party.
