The hotels described are our usual choice of accommodation, however, if these are not available then alternatives are used and if these are of a different standard you will be informed at the time of booking. Begin your journey in the beautiful city of Amalfi. Spend your afternoon exploring the city center or relaxing by the ocean. Don't miss the historic St. Andrew's Cathedral and the fascinating Museo della Carta. Your accommodation for the next two nights is a cozy and welcoming hotel.
Day 2 – Day 2: Exploring the Amalfi Coast

Start your day with a self-guided walking tour of the Amalfi Coast. Visit the 'Valle dei Mulini', the ruins of Europe's oldest paper factories. Explore the charming village of Pontone and the optional walk to the Torre dello Zirro. Continue to Ravello, where you can visit the beautiful Romanesque church and the stunning gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone. End your day with a scenic walk back to Amalfi, passing through the beautiful village of Atrani.

Today's journey takes you along the 'Maestra dei Villaggi', an ancient mule track. Pass through the charming villages of Lone and Vettica before arriving at the impressive Monastery of Santa Rosa. Descend to the spectacular Fjord of Furore, a perfect spot for lunch. After a steep ascent, walk past the church of Sant'Elia into the Valley of Praia. End your day in the coastal town of Praiano, spread out over about 3km with upper and lower parts and a couple of tiny beaches in natural inlets. Your accommodation offers great sea views above the old coastal watchtower and marina.

Start your day with a visit to the Monastery of San Domenico, set in stunning scenery. Continue uphill through spectacular landscapes and bizarre rock formations. Follow the 'Footpath of Gods' through unique scenery to the hamlet of Nocelle. Enjoy high cliffside trails overlooking the sea and views down to Praiano and onto Positano and Capri. Arrive in the little village of Montepertuso and descend to Positano, one of the most charming villages of the coast. Your accommodation in Positano offers a great location and unbeatable sea views.

Catch the local bus up to Montepertuso, where you start the walk above the valley of Positano. Climb towards Santa Maria al Castello, the old fortress defending the narrow valley between the Amalfi and Sorrentine side of the peninsula. From here oversee both the Gulf of Salerno and the Gulf of Naples. Descend down to Montepertuso and then back to Positano along another medieval mule track.
