Discovering Rome

Upon your arrival in Rome, you will check into your hotel (transfer available as an optional extra). In the afternoon, you will join a small group tour to explore the hidden masterpieces of Rome. You will discover the works of Michelangelo, Caravaggio, Borromini, and Raphael in places like the Galleria Spada and the church of Santa Maria Sopra la Minerva. The tour will also take you to Piazza Navona, where you will appreciate breathtaking paintings by Caravaggio. Overnight stay will be in Rome.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a half-day tour of the Museo Nazionale Romano, where you will see famous art treasures and stroll in an evergreen wood once belonging to the Thermal Baths of Diocletian. In the afternoon, you will visit the Vatican Museums, one of the world's largest museum complexes. Here, you will view the world's largest private art collection, walk through Raphael's Rooms, and admire Michelangelo's astounding frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. The day will end with a visit to St. Peter's Square. Overnight stay will be in Rome.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up for an unforgettable culinary experience. The day will start with a visit to a historical food market near the Vatican area, where you will be introduced to the raw products of traditional Italian dishes. You will then have the opportunity to prepare traditional Italian dishes, including homemade pasta, under the guidance of a chef. You will enjoy mixing ingredients and flavors to create your favorite pasta, sampling different recipes, and learning the secrets of Italian cuisine. The day will end with a tasting of your creations, accompanied by a selection of the best wines from the Lazio region. Overnight stay will be in Rome.
