Day 1 – Day 1: Arrival at Mount Etna

Welcome to Sicily! Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel located on the majestic Mount Etna. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the breathtaking views of the mountain. Enjoy a delicious dinner and rest well for the exciting adventure that awaits you.

Kickstart your adventure with a thrilling mountain bike ride on Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano. Cycle through the unique landscapes of lava fields and lush pine forests, experiencing the raw power of nature. Continue your journey towards the north side, passing by several mountain refuges. As you descend towards the medieval village of Randazzo, ride through the dramatic 1981 lava flow. Cross the Alcantara river bridge and enter the wild Nebrodi Mountains. Reach Floresta, the highest village in Sicily, where you will enjoy a hearty dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Leave Floresta behind and set off to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Parco dei Nebrodi. Ride downhill along the Alcantara river before tackling the challenging Monte Colla climb. Enjoy the stunning views of Mount Etna from the summit and ride through the dense forests of the Nebrodi Park. Descend towards Randazzo, a beautiful medieval town, and visit its stunning antique churches. Continue your journey towards the Alcantara Valley, cycling along the 'wine road'. End your day at the Agriturismo, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Start your day with a visit to the ancient Cuba Byzantine chapel, followed by a short stop at the Alcantara river's small waterfalls. Head uphill to Castiglione di Sicilia and visit the beautiful Castello Lauria, offering a magnificent view of the Alcantara Valley. Ride through the valley and marvel at the stunning Alcantara gorges. Follow the river to its mouth at the San Marco beach, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the Ionian Sea. Continue your ride along the sea to the Natural reserve of Fiumefreddo river before heading back uphill to the Agriturismo.
