Leave Palermo behind and journey to the ancient temple of Segesta, nestled amidst the splendor of Sicilian spring flowers. Continue to the mountain village of Erice, reputedly built by survivors of the Trojan War. From here, enjoy breathtaking views of the Egadi Islands on a clear day. Today's journey takes you along the west coast to Marsala, where you will take a boat trip to the Phoenician island of Mozia. Visit the Whitaker Museum and marvel at the famous Efebe of Mozia. Continue to Selinunte to explore the ancient Greek city and its temple. End the day in Agrigento, home to the Valley of the Temples. Overnight stay in a hotel in Agrigento (or similar).

Spend the day exploring the magnificent Valley of the Temples, a highlight of any trip to Sicily. In the afternoon, visit the Scala dei Turchi, a unique natural attraction where white marl rock forms a staircase above the turquoise sea. Return to Agrigento after sunset. Today, journey to the east coast of Sicily, stopping at the world's largest Roman villa, the Villa del Casale, to admire its magnificent floor mosaics. Continue through rolling wheat fields dotted with red poppies and yellow chrysanthemums, and catch your first glimpse of Mount Etna after Enna.
