This tour was excellent. We did it our first night to sample Florence and get the lay of the land and it was perfect for that, even though we were a little tired. It is especially nice against the early evening backdrop, as people start to come out for the night and the city gets livelier. So if you don’t know where to go on day 1, do this. We visited some local gems we may have otherwise missed. Our guide- Katerina- was superb. Friendly and knowledgeable, she was welcomed by all proprietors in their shops, which made us feel welcome too. She was well versed in Florentine history and culture, and proud of her Italian heritage and this made the tour a real delight. Warning: a little wine here and a little there can sneak up on you! After a few glasses and a fun night, don’t be surprised if your dear old dad breaks into some of his legendary dance moves on your way home 😊.

Great tour. This was our second food tour on this trip. It was nice that it took place in the less touristy area. The food was really good. It was fun getting to try a Negroni cocktail. The cheese shop was also exceptional.
