From Sorrento: Positano, Ravello and Amalfi Coast Experience

Nice and interesting trip. We’ve enjoyed the tour with the guide Nino.. Nino was such an amazing guide and driver... Amazing experience...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Beautiful scenery but still very crowded in October. Positano wares and clothing extremely expensive. Great seaside restaurant in Amalfi. Ravello too crowded to walk the streets. If staying in Sorrento that’s where to shop.

Very nice day of visiting the Amalfi Coast with a friendly, cultured guide, and excellent driver on the narrow and busy roads of the region.

The destinations are distinctive and absolutely worth the trip, but this specific tour is lazily run and really let us down. The main road to Positano was closed, as it apparently routinely is after heavy rain, so the tour operated in the opposite direction (starting with Ravello instead) in the hope that the blockage would be cleared by the afternoon. This meant foregoing the boat tour in Amalfi too because we would arrive too late. After finishing the 2-hour visit to Amalfi, the guide announced that the road was still closed so we returned to Sorrento, 1.5 hours early. Unfortunately, a quick search online showed that numerous alternative roads were still open (even the public bus seemed to be running normally). Even the most circuitous diversion would have involved extending the tour by just 30 minutes to allow the planned hour in Positano. Of course it is OK if the guide and driver don't want to work overtime, but then we should have had some extra time in Ravello and/or Amalfi.

Boat ride from Amalfi for 12 Euros extra is a must do. Ravello very nice but not necessary. Positano has a LOT of stairs so it's best to go down to the beach first and then browse the shops on the way up as running all the way up to catch the bus is very exhausting. Most important tip is to sit on the right side of the bus (facing forwards) if you want to take photos enroute as the sun is facing you on the return trip.

The guide and driver were amazing. The only complaint is they were 30 minutes late so we weren’t sure if we were in the right place though we followed directions to the pickup point.

Our guide was really friendly and very well documented, the route very interesting and the landscapes to photograph extraordinary.

Very nice discoveries. A breathtaking landscape. The time between the different villages is well distributed. Bravo to our guide and our driver.
