Hidden Rome - Private Tour with Driver

Excellent tour of Rome with a stop at St. Peter’s Basilica. Our Guide, Peter was the best guide. He toured us all around Rome, had some valuable information that he shared with us. If you’re going to Italy I would highly recommend that you use Rome in Limo. We were on a cruise and used Rome in Limo on all ports that we stopped in Italy and probably had a better experience than being on a big tour and it was cheaper than the cruise tours.

Rome In Limo is a great experience!!! I use their service every time I travel to Italy. The drivers and tour guides are knowledgeable and engaging. It is a first class operation!!! It is the best way to see Rome or any city in Italy. You can relax and see the sites at your own pace without being on a strict schedule. Using Rome In Limo takes a lot of stress out of visiting bustling tourist attractions!!!

This is our second trip to Italy and we were so impressed with Romeinlimo the first trip for our 3 stops, we booked them again on this trip over. Again we booked the 3 excursions with them. Jany answers all questions quickly and the drivers/guides are amazing. The vehicles are super comfortable and the drivers very knowledgable. If you want stress free, but complete tours in Itally - I would 100% use this company again - in fact we are returning to Italy again in August 2025 and will be booking with this company again. You should look at their website - they have several excursions available at each port - so something for everyone. Safe, affordable, knowledgable, comprehensive and flexible - what more could you ask for?

Great trip with Peter. He was super knowledgeable and flexible on what we wanted to see. We saw parts of Rome we hadn’t seen before even though been there numerous times.

Stephano gave a great tour! He was an outstanding raconteur, making each stop along the route both interesting and educational. We visited some fascinating and beautiful churches and several other sites that were steeped in the history of the region, and which were not crowded, but really should not be missed.

Simply amazing! Wasn’t sure what to expect but Stefano was so knowledgeable and engaging, we were very disappointed when the time was up because we were having so much fun. He was full of stories and took us to beautiful places that are normally not part of a typical Rome itinerary. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about Rome and had a lot of suggestions for additional places that are worth seeing. I would highly recommended this tour.

This was the best way to see some of the harder to get to sites in Rome: the Via Appia, catacombs, aqueduct, a couple of churches and the best view of the city among many places. Our driver Stefano clearly loves his city and is incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly. We were lucky to spend 6 hours with him. We also loved the place he recommended for lunch where we had fantastic pizza, rice balls and sandwiches. This is totally worth the money especially if you want to get away from the large crowds and see hidden gems.

My cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed the Rome In Limo experience! From Livio greeting us at FCO and two days of touring to Dan touring us up and down the Amalfi coast! Both guides were courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and excellent drivers navigating the sometimes challenging roads in Italy! Livio toured us around places that were new to us. Dan presented a native's view of life on the Almalfi coast. The bonus was a delicious meal at an olive oil grove. Truly memorable! Janey coordinated the tours with my cousin and the outcome was perfect! Just the right amount of time exploring and stops at local food vendors.

Livio drove us to Tuscany for lunch, wine tasting and cooking class. Superb! Our time spent in Siena was memorable!

A work colleague told me about this private tour with Rome in a limousine. He had taken it a few years ago. I set it up for three couples celebrating a lifetime of friendship.

It couldn't have been better.

The van was uber comfortable.

The office manager, Jany, helped us through ideas and last-minute changes of plans with flawless ease.

Our driver, Nick, couldn't have been better. Intelligent, knowledgeable about current and past events, and funny. Funny is important to us.

We saw more of the city and parts of it I'd never seen (this was my second trip to Rome). We saw all the must-sees, you know what they are, and some hidden gems.

Plus, he stopped often enough for the obligatory selfies that satisfied us.

It was a perfect day and a perfect way to see Rome.

The Trip Advisor tips also tell me to add any negatives. Once I think of one, I'll rewrite it.

The bonus is that Nick dropped us off for lunch at a recommended spot. From the outside, I would never have picked it—there was no outdoor seating, for example. But one glance at the tables packed with locals, and I knew we were in the right spot.

The meal now ranks in my official top 5 of all our world travels over twenty-plus years.

Great tour in Rome going to places that are not that usual. Pietro was a great tour guide/driver and the 6 hours went fast. It was a very fulfilling experience visiting so many historical places there.
